Tamilnadu Lunch Sambar Masala Pack of 3

For half cup of raw toor dal (3 servings) you need to use 50g masala (1 pouch).
In a kit, we provide 35g masala for 120/ 150g cooked dal which is ideal for 2 people.

You can add any vegetable that you typically add to sambar - shallots, drumstick, lady’s finger, brinjal, radish etc...

The dal is packed and subjected to Retort.
Retort is essentially processing food in its final package using high heat and pressure to create shelf-stable products - a kind of sterilisation.
Kills all harmful bacteria, No preservatives needed and long shelf life.

The Cookd sambar masalas have salt, tamarind and the spices all in a single pack. You don’t need to add extra of these ingredients while cooking.
Other market products are pure spice blends.
